amsoil oil filter
Hi there,
I own a my11wrx. i have a amsoil oil filter ea012 sitting here ready to use along with amsoil 0w-30 oil. I noticed after doing a bit of research that the amsoil oil filter ea012 has a pressure bypass valve of 8-11 psi. The oem wrx oil filter tokyo roki co., ltd. 15208aa100 has a pressure bypass valve of 23 psi. Would there be a issue running with the amsoil oil filter ea012 seeing there is a big difference in pressure in the bypass valve. The amsoil filter ea012 was recommended to me by the Australian amsoil dealer.

I wouldn’t recommend using it without talking to someone directly at AMSOIL. That does not seem like a “good fit”, unless some of your research has turned up some incorrect info.
That’s a considerable difference in psi for the bypass valve, and I’m guessing that the Australian dealer checked other specs to find a “cross-over” filter, but didn’t pay attention to this spec.
