Sorry for not replying sooner. Was away for the weekend with my wife and son for a gymnastics competition.
I have updated the database to include SM as one of the classifications met by this oil.
As to why it does not meet SN specs, the most common reason for an oil like this to not meet that spec would be phosphorus content. It’s highly likely that this oil meets the other criteria for the SN specification, but has phos levels that are too high to fall in line with the new restrictions in the SN spec.
Of course, there MAY be other reasons, but this is the most likely.
